Howard W. Lloyd, 87, of Palatka went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 24, 2018 at his sonís residence in Hollister following an extended illness.

Howard was born to Joseph and Hazel Lloyd in Muncie, Indiana and had been a resident of Palatka for the past 61 years, coming from Muncie. He served honorably in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He had worked in electronics repairs and had been formerly employed by Daveís TV in Palatka and Reidís TV in Palatka before going to work for Sears in Palatka, where he worked for 31 years. He attended Francis Baptist Church and was a former member and deacon of Peniel Baptist Church and Berean Baptist Church in East Palatka. He had been active in Boy Scouts of America and had been an Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 234 in Palatka and had also served as a Webelos den leader. He enjoyed traveling and camping. God and his family were his priorities.

Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Genevieve Lloyd; a grandson, Christopher Pearson; a brother, Joseph Lloyd; and a sister, Anne Butcher.

Surviving are three daughters, Cindra Pearson (John Wells) of Linesville, PA, Karen Cox (John Cox) of Palatka, and Lisa Austin (Nopparat Austin) of McDonough, GA; two sons, Michael Lloyd (Terri Lloyd) of Palatka and William Lloyd (Felipe Visser) of Coral Gables, FL; two sisters, Norma Stephen and Margaret Anderson, both of Weaverville, NC; fifteen grandchildren, Bryan Pearson (Patricia Pearson), Fredrick Wells, Justin Pafford, Arien Pafford, Cody Cox, Breanne Lloyd, Brooke Lloyd, Juan Visser, Tess Austin, Brandon Austin (Felecia Austin), Joshua Austin, Jenna Austin, Jacob Austin, Jarrett Austin and Jayley Austin; eight great grandchildren, Bryan Pearson, Jr., Brandon Stephen, Tye Mims, Daigan Mims, Asia Mims, Landon Austin, Luke Austin and Leila Austin; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. A service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Chaplain Jakie Carmicle officiating. In honor and celebration of Howardís life a Video Tribute will be shown. Burial will follow in Peniel Cemetery with military honors bestowed by the U.S. Navy.
