Carlton Leroy Tucker, 70, of Lake Como passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 at Bailey Center for Caring in St. Augustine following an extended illness. He was born in Claxton, GA and had been a resident of Lake Como for the past 20 years coming from Palatka where he graduated in 1967 from Palatka Senior High School. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired truck driver having worked with Peninsular Petroleum as well as other companies. Carlton enjoyed fishing, driving, blueberries, singing at church, pot luck dinners, listening to gospel music and bluegrass music. He was an avid GA Bulldog fan (his favorite rivalry was between the Bulldogs and the Gators) an Atlanta Braves fan and he loved Harley’s.

He was preceded in death by three wives, Peggy Collins Tucker, Joyce Johnson Tucker and Patricia “Pat” Greenfield Tucker; his parents, Leroy and Mildred Brown Tucker; two brothers, Richard “ Gary” Tucker and Clifford “James” Tucker; three sisters, Lillie Faye Prescott, Janie Lee Ray and Betty Robbins Hugdahl.

Surviving are a son, Johnathon “Carl” Tucker and wife, Jamie; a daughter, Karen Wald and wife, Alexis; five step daughters, Teresa Ussery, Sandra Driggers, Anita Estaver, Viki Estaver and Erin Joleen Anderson; two sisters, Kate Robbins and Annie Nell Siprell; five grandchildren, Ashley Tucker, Aaron Tucker, Ashton Tucker, Austin Tucker and Anthony Tucker; three step grandchildren, Michael Swiger, Korryn Bakker and Caisley Swiger; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Friday, November 8, 2019 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Larry Litzell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be sent to Cancer Research Institute at www.CancerResearch.org, to Community Hospice Bailey Center for Caring, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32257 or to the donor’s favorite cancer charity.
