KATHLEEN STEEDLEY

Kathleen “Kathy” Steedley, 58, of Satsuma passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness.

Kathy was born and raised in Jacksonville and had lived in the Putnam County area for 28 years, first living in Florahome and later in Satsuma. She attended Paxon Senior High School and later received her G.E.D. She was a homemaker and was a kind-hearted person to everyone she knew. She was “family oriented” and loved her family and family gatherings. She also loved animals, especially her cats and dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Marjorie Steedley; and a niece, Sgt. Karen Lee Mamo, U.S. Army.

Surviving are two sisters, Debra Horsley of Satsuma and Angela Dykes of Florahome; a brother, Mathew Glenn Steedley of Vermont; six nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 4th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Maurice Sterling officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Prong Cemetery in Sanderson. Due to the Corona Virus, attendees are requested to wear masks and practice social distancing.
