Guadalupe “Lupe” Pacheco Rash, 94, of Palatka passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her residence due to natural causes.

Mrs. Rash was born in San Martin, Jalisco, Mexico and had been a resident of Putnam County for the past 66 years, coming from Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico. She had been a longtime and devout member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Palatka where she had served on the Ladies’ Guild. She was loved by all who knew her and she was always positive and upbeat. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and she never complained. Her late husband often said of her “She was the only walking angel on Earth”.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Roy A. Rash; an infant son, Leonard Emmanuel Rash; a great granddaughter, Rachel Williams; three sisters; and four brothers.

Surviving are ten children, Francisco Nunez (Judy), Rita McLendon, Friné Spearing (Steve), John Rash, Tina Robinson (George), Joseph Rash, Mary Byrd (Ronnie), Jerry Rash (Sarah), Cathy Rash and Paul Rash and her late husband’s children, Jeffrey Rash (Tracy) and Lisa Leathers (Walt); two beloved sisters-in-law, Carrie Driggers and Petra Pacheco; 24 grandchildren, Richard Nunez, Chris McLendon (Julie), Kimberly Young (Marc), Stephanie Brinkley (Tony), Tim Spearing (Becky), Crystal Smith, Julie Beede (Marc), Jennifer Fort (Jared), Melissa Gilyard (Sharod) , Michael Rash, Stacy Rash (Trey), Myriah Davis (Austin), Kevin Byrd (Leah), Justin Byrd (K. D.), Dwight Brown (Elicia), Kyle Brown (Diane), Ryan Mathews (Logan), Reed Mathews (Ronna), Daniel Rash (Lindsey), Jacob Robertson, Zachary Rash, Amanda Rash, Madison Rash, Hannah Rash; 40 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at Masters Funeral Home of Palatka from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 pm Friday, Sept. 4, 2020 at St. Monica Catholic Church with Father Ron Camarda officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed at vimeo/mastersfuneralhome. Interment will follow in the Pinelawn Cemetery in Mannville.
