Dennis Scott Keane, 73, of Interlachen, passed away unexpectedly at his residence.

Dennis was born on April 3, 1947 in Long Island, NY and had lived in Interlachen since 1978, coming from Miami. He served honorably in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran of the 397 Bombardment Wing. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneer Association and Florida Historical Society. Dennis had a passion for nature and music. He enjoyed home improvement projects and spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite pastimes included flying, skiing, and camping.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Dorothy Keane.

He is survived by his two daughters, Ericka (Jackie) Keane of Jacksonville and Gina Keane of Ocala; a grandson, Cameron Keane; a sister, Susan Keane; two brothers, Kenneth (Colleen) Keane and Richard (Karen) Keane; a nephew, Thomas (Sarah) Keane; and three nieces, Jennifer Keane, Jessica (Nicholas) Ottaviano, and Amber Keane.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Maurice Sterling officiating and military honors bestowed by the U.S. Air Force. A private burial will take place on Friday, April 16th at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
