R. ROSS STOEFFLER
R. Ross Stoeffler, 79, of Hollister entered into his Heavenly home on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 following an extended illness.
Ross was born in Palatka at home on the former Lemon Street to Robert L. and Neda M. White Stoeffler. He was a lifelong resident of Putnam County, having grown up in Francis and later living in Hollister. He was a 1959 graduate of Palatka Senior High School and served honorably for six years in the Florida National Guard. In 2003 he retired from Georgia Pacific Corp. in Palatka as an instrument mechanic after 45 years of service. He belonged to the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. After retirement he enjoyed ranching , gardening and poetry. Some of his poems had been printed in the Palatka Daily News. The most important thing to happen in Rossí life was when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Old things passed away and all things became new. He was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church in Starke.
Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Freddie Stoeffler.
Surviving are his wife, Joy Stoeffler of Hollister; two sons, Rohn Stoeffler and Lori Graham of Pomona Park, and Joey Stoeffler of Hollister; a daughter, Tracy Davis and Joey Key of Raiford; five grandsons, Justin Stoeffler and Christina Stoeffler of East Palatka, Isaac Stoeffler and Alexis Miller of Palatka, Trey Davis and Hunter Davis of Palatka, and Morgan Stoeffler of Pomona Park; four great grandchildren, Trustin Stoeffler of East Palatka, Noah Allen Davis of Palatka, Isabella Stoeffler and Sophia Miller of Palatka; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Diane Stoeffler of Elizabethtown, PA; a sister-in-law, Berneice Stoeffler of Tampa; nephews and nieces, Rocky Stoeffler of Tampa, Glen and Terry Stoeffler of Tampa, Heather and Gil Rodrigues of Tampa, Nick Stoeffler of PA, Stephen and Crissy Stoeffler of PA, Dawn and Kirk Behring of NJ, Andrea Florian of NY, Ginnette and Bill Bugar of PA, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11th at Masters Funeral Home in Palatka. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Sonny Pipkins, Pastor Roger Worten, and Bro. Hunter Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Hollister Sweetwater Cemetery.
